CLASSES
Violin
Young children often become fascinated with learning to play the violin, and if so, they should be encouraged. Musical training positively impacts the memory and attention span. Young children gain self-discipline from repeated practice, build self-reliance, self-esteem, and self-awareness – qualities which make them well-liked and well-adjusted. I use the internationally known Suzuki methodology which parallels the linguistic environment of acquiring a native language in order to foster good moral character.
American English
As a certified CELTA teacher, I have the essential knowledge and hands-on teaching experience to teach English as a second language. Speaking another language is one of life’s great experiences. Immersing yourself with a native American english speaker is a lot of fun and a good formative experience. As the most commonly spoken language in the world, English can increase your chances of communicating with anyone as well as opening doors to many new opportunities. It is the language of the internet and media, thus the most powerful language you can learn!
New Media
The rise of new media has increased communication between people all over the world and the Internet. It has allowed people to express themselves through blogs, websites, videos, pictures, and other user-generated media. Learning how to code is learning problem solving. It is important for students to understand the basics of how software works to understand how the world works. I believe it is a 21st century language that is increasingly valuable and provides students with the means to be global citizens who are interculturally competent.
